Public Events Refund Policy

Regular Public Event Tuition and Refund Policy:

Please read the following carefully:

By submitting a payment to any Northwest Natura (NWN) event, you agree to the following terms. It is your responsibility to read these terms before checkout.

  • Refunds: All event registration purchases are final.

  • Tuition Credit Award: If notice of your need to cancel your attendance is given 7 or more days in advance, you are entitled to class credit (in the amount you paid) to be applied toward a future NWN course (credit cannot be applied to collaboration courses such as with Firecraft Northwest).

  • The same credit cannot be transferred if you cancel a second time.

  • Credit, including personalized discount codes, will expire at the end of the calendar year.

  • “Last minute cancellation” is cancelling your attendance within 6 days of the event. NWN will not offer credit for last minute cancellations. Special circumstances may affect this policy (inquire within).

Scheduling Private Courses:

  • Pricing may vary. Prices listed on our website are baseline costs. Listings do not assume travel costs to areas outside of Whatcom County. Custom courses taking place outside of Whatcom County are subject to an additional fee based on mileage and commute. Prices increase at a baseline of 30/hr when you add time to a set length. Prices increase at a baseline of 40/topic when you add topics to a short course or half day course. A complete outline defining all costs for the purpose of transparency is available by request. Any additional costs and price variation will be discussed with you before you commit to your purchase.

    Refunds & Deposits:

  • Non-refundable deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all private lessons and is due when Northwest Natura provides a payment link to you. Your course will be scheduled only when the deposit or full tuition is paid.

  • Rescheduling: Rescheduling your private event without additional fees is allowed up to 8 days prior to the event. Requesting to reschedule your private event with less than 8 days’ notice is subject to a 20% rescheduling fee.

  • Cancellations: Refunds for 50% of tuition will be rewarded if at least 10 days’ notice of cancellations is given. Cancelling your event in less than 10 days of your event will not include a refund.
