Nature Walk - Flora and Fungi ID & Ethnobotany

Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie NF
Learn the traditional uses of native plants and how to identify them during this relaxing walk in the woods.
This course is designed to familiarize you with native species of plants including the fungi, herbs, shrubs, and trees, birds we may hear, and mammals we may see.
We will focus mainly on mushrooms since that’s your primary interest this season, and we will ID trees and plants as we pass by and learn about their ecological relationship with various fungi we find.
What to bring:
Dress for the weather
Snacks and water
Foraging basket or bag (canvas or mesh)
Notepad and pen (optional)
Binoculars (optional)
Camera (optional)
You will receive a reminder email a few days prior to your event with updates on the weather, driving directions, and other pertinent information.
