Symbolism and Ritual

Recognizing the importance of symbolism and ritual is the foundation of all Witches’ Gatherings.

Celebrating seasons connects us to the passage of time and manifestations of change.

Symbolism

Seasonal symbology provides a foundation for us to reflect on our personal lives and intentions throughout the year.

Each new moon is symbolic of rebirth and change; it is a time to set new intentions and create new affirmations.

A Gathering of Witches will provide a supportive space to discuss short-term and long-term personal goals with each other during group discussions.

Ritual

Rituals are like ceremoniously enacted habits. But while a habit is typically comprised of a single action, rituals consist of multiple parts or actions.

Every New Moon Ritual with A Gathering of Witches entails:

  • Hands-on earth-focused activity(ies)

  • Coming to share knowledge.

  • Learning something new.

  • Having organized group discussion(s).

  • Fire and feasting.

Gatherings are powered by donations.

Come to experience group gatherings focused on sharing knowledge and creating meaningful connections with other people.

Donating to A Gathering of Witches means that you are contributing money towards fees and costs associated with gatherings paid for by the curators of AGOW including:

  • Public space/venue fees and/or permits.

  • Firewood, fuel, refreshments.

  • Materials for hands-on activities.

  • Supplies including decor, cookware, candles, stationary, batteries, etc.

Thank you for giving what you can!
